Your New Role As Assistant Store Manager you will be on the floor most of the day, supporting the team, helping customers and keeping things running smoothly. You will work closely with the Store Manager, coach the team, keep an eye on sales targets and make sure the store is safe, well presented and easy for customers to shop. What You Will Get Up To Lead from the front on the floor and set the pace for service and safety Coach the team on product knowledge and how to match the right tools to each customer Help drive daily sales targets, add ons and promos Support stock processes including deliveries, transfers and cycle counts Keep the store looking tidy, well merchandised and clearly ticketed Handle customer enquiries, warranty issues and general problem solving Assist with opening and closing, cash handling, rosters and admin Step up to run the store when the Store Manager is away Experience Checklist Assistant Manager or 2IC experience in a busy trade, tools or hardware store Strong history of hitting sales targets and improving team performance Confident leading a team in a hands on, practical environment Good understanding of stock, inventory and basic store operations Comfortable learning tools and trade products with the interest to grow your product knowledge What’s Next?
